EDPM (ethylene propylene diene monomer (M-class) rubber):
The main properties of EPDM are its outstanding
heat, ozone, and weather resistance. The resistance to polar substances and steam are also good. It has excellent
electrical insulating properties. It is commonly used as roofing membranes, because it does not pollute the run-off
rainwater, which is of vital importance for rainwater harvesting.
PVC (Polyvinyl chloride):
This is a waterproofing membrane known for its dependability and resistance to water,
chemicals, grease, fire and punctures.
This method consists of multiple layers of materials to form a sturdy, reinforced roof. Starting
with the deck surface and roof insulation, multiple layers of asphalt and ply sheets are sandwiched together with a
reflective roof coating on the top.
